Alex Demisch is a Senior Planner at the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency (SFMTA).  He spent five years implementing, operating, and evaluating the SFpark pilot program, which used new policies, state-of-the-art technologies, and better customer information to make parking easier in San Francisco.  He managed the installation and operation of in-ground parking sensors, provided policy guidance to a technical team to implement demand-responsive parking pricing, and developed methods to estimate parking occupancy using parking meter data. He has a background in urban transportation planning and geography from UCLA and UC Berkeley.
